Part- time casual Reception desk cover (maternity relief)

Pay: £12.75  Hours: 8-12hrs per week and additional holiday cover when needed.

We’re seeking a motivated, organised person to provide excellent customer service at our main reception in Jesmond, within a friendly team and a beautiful club setting overlooking 12 tennis courts by St George’s Church.

This is a casual, relief role with shifts between 7am and 8.30pm, involving managing bookings, handling enquiries in person, by phone and online, and advising on memberships and courses. You’ll need to work confidently on your own initiative in a busy front-of-house role, with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach.

Part-Time Cook/Chef

Pay: £12.75 - £14.00 per hour

Job description:

We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Cook/Chef to join our friendly and welcoming racket sports club in Jesmond.

We are looking for an individual with a catering qualification, who can work independently and has experience in food preparation, good customer service skills, and strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene standards.

Main Purpose of the Role

• Prepare and cook food from our menu to a consistently high standard.
• Assist with cooking for the on-site Nursery, following recipes and required portion quantities.
• Ensure all work adheres to current Health & Safety and Food Hygiene legislation.
• Carry out stock rotation, replenishment, and check incoming deliveries.
• Package food with correct labelling in line with health regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff, members, and club visitors.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment.
• Work with management to help develop new menu items and specials.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies.
• Ensure dishes are well-presented and meet the Club’s quality expectations.

Part Time Bar & Waiting Staff (Mainly Weekend Hours)

We are looking for bar/waiting staff to join us in our friendly racket sports club in Jesmond on a part time permanent basis working between 15-24 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be someone who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service to our members on every visit they make to our club.

Duties will include meeting and greeting customers, serving drinks and food, taking orders, cash handling, set up for meetings and events, regular cleaning and restocking duties.

You must have an excellent working knowledge of food safety and hygiene and experience in coffee making will be a strong advantage to candidates.

We are a small team, often working under pressure, you must be able to work effectively with others as well as being able to use your own initiative.

The candidate must be flexible in their working hours which may include weekend and evening work.
