Dear Members and Guests
We hope you and your families are well.
Further to our update of 4 January and a review of the situation whilst COVID-19 continues to affect the Northumberland Club, we’re writing to provide an update and to provide an outline of the way we propose to move forward.
Financially, 2020 was an extremely difficult year, as the lockdowns impacted significantly on membership subscriptions. Nevertheless, we were able to continue with planned investment in the club, in particular:
When we are able to resume, your experiences at the club will be enhanced by these developments that were greatly assisted by a proportion of the membership contacting us and electing to donate their fees to the club instead of seeking a refund. We are extremely grateful for that gesture, which benefits us all. Generosity such as this allows us to ensure the club is viable and sustainable for the future.
To help us weather this difficult period, we’re asking any members who can afford it, to gift their January membership fees in the same way. Of course, if you would like a refund for your January membership payment, please email sarah@northumberlandclub.org and we will process the refund for you straight away.
None of us can say when the club will be able to return to full operation and whilst we intend to suspend the payment of membership fees in February, we wanted to give members an opportunity to donate their fees to the club in the same way in February. To do so, all you need to do is email Sarah (as per the email above), adding “ACE” to the subject line.
Many thanks to those who have contributed so far and we look forward to serving you as soon as we are able to resume.
Best wishes,
The Northumberland Club Team.
