We are aware already that our secretary, Hamish Bredin, is very busy on behalf of the club. Recent work regarding the new court surfaces for 4 and 5 is one example. It has included liaising with our contractors on detail by email and being on hand to meet and greet them. However, he has just gone “the extra mile” (actually a bit further)!

Pictured  taken on 21 May is Hamish driving a JCB. Because the delivery driver was unwilling to get anywhere close to the club (narrow residential streets etc.), Hamish agreed to meet him circa the Fire Station on Jubilee Road and drive it from there to the club.

When pressed on this, Hamish accepted that not many of us would have been happy to undertake this but mentioned that he had some previous experience (although from more than fourteen years before!)
