A tennis packed Saturday afternoon of social play, 13 December, with all 5 courts fully active, was then followed by a wonderful pre-Christmas music concert in the clubhouse. The idea for the 1st GLTC Christmas concert came from Natalie Watson (Junior & Ladies team player) and included her musically talented school friends, Frances Clement (Guitar) and Mani Fairclough (Vocals).  In the first photograph, you see from left to right, Natalie, Mani and Frances.

Mulled wine, mince pies, cake and Yule log were kindly donated by club members and provided the supporting Christmas ambience to the occasion, supplemented by hot beverages on a chilly December day. Special thanks go to Cat Noon for decorating the clubhouse so wonderfully to give it a Christmas feel.

A crowd of approximately 30 members gathered expectantly in the clubhouse and were delighted to hear the talented girls perform beautiful renditions of Christmas classics, old and new, including Jingle Bell Rock, Fairy Tale of New York, Hallelujah, Santa Tell Me, We’re Walking in the Air and finishing with an audience participant version of ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’ ! The clubhouse was rocking, followed by a well-rewarded hot chocolate for the real stars of the show Natalie, Frances and Mani !
