The Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) annual campaign Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport runs from 6-12 October 2025.
This year's theme, "Play Your Part", highlights the vital role parents and carers play in their child's sporting journey. The way you support your child can have a huge impact on how they feel about sport and physical activity. The campaign aims to make it easier for parents to talk with their children about what good support looks like and how to help them enjoy their sport to the fullest.

👧 How Young People Can Get Involved
The LTA Young Person Welfare Ambassador (YPWA) programme gives young people a voice in promoting safeguarding and welfare at their club. The LTA were the first National Governing Body to launch such a programme, directly involving young people in safeguarding conversations.
Both Mandy Tulip and Simon Lancaster have completed venue training to help launch this initiative at our club.
The YPWA role allows young people to:
- Raise awareness of safeguarding among members and players
- Share feedback and ideas from other young people
- Act as a link between young members and the club committee
- Work with the Welfare Officer to promote wellbeing and inclusion
If you're aged 14-24 and would like to get involved, please speak to Mandy Tulip or Simon Lancaster, or visit Become a Young Person's Welfare Ambassador | LTA
